Bad Service

Last year I took a contract with a Samsung A30 and the phone fell and the screen cracked I then i took it to MM All Electronics to have it fixed i was then quoted R 2,538.00 I made the payment and 8 months , 3 weeks down the line the device had a white strip at the bottom of the screen. Then the phone went Blank

The following day I called MM All Electronics i spoke to Portia and advised her what happened to my device and she asked whether did I drop the phone or did i do anything to the phone i advised her No and that i will bring it in on Tuesday or Wednesday to have it checked.

I then went at MM All electronics and was helped by Mpho He checked the phone screen Countless times he said the is nothing wrong with the phone and went to the Back and they checked it as well at the back they said the phone is fine but they have to open it to Check the Motherboard .

I then agreed and they said i will need to pay R 205.00 or R 250.00 for opening the phone i agreed to have it checked and he said i will receive an sms on Wednesday or Thursday the latest with feedback with what is wrong with the phone.

Then today when i woke up i receive an sms that doesn't ,make sense

Friday 03/07/2020 as soon as possible. We apologize for causing delay. HAPPY ABOUT OUR SERVICE? zaservice?samsung.com 08:07 am

Then took a screenshot of the sms and sent an email to Mpho to ask what does this sms Mean he didn't reply.

Another sms came through : Friday 03/07/2020 This is an automated update from Samsung. In Order to continue with your repair registration. 11:42 am

Then another sms came through Friday 03/07/2020 Please confirm your acceptance for estimated repair cost. 11:42 am

I then Call MM All Electronics to find out what is happening cause the sms's i got didn't make sense, I spoke to Portia she said that My phone has liquid damage and they're also charging me for the blank screen.

I asked her how does it have liquid damage ? she asked me did i drop the phone into the water I told her no, Then i asked her what does it mean ? do i have to pay for something i didn't do how much she said she doesn't know I must wait for the Quote.

then an email came through at 12:05 from MM all Electronics with a Quotation of R 4,606.92 . it doesn't make sense

I called again I spoke to Xolelwa or Xoliswa I can't remeber her name she said that is what is quoted and that the is liquid damage I asked her how cause the phone did not fall into water or anything the phone was still as it was when we brought it in . She said she will transfer me to the Phones department.

I was then transferred to Michaela I told her the whole story she said they have pictures they can send to me to see the liquid damage . I asked her how cause the phone has never fell into water or whatsoever even fall the screen was not even cracked.

She said how can ask her that she was not there when my phone fell into the water, I must know that . I told her it doesn't make sense they said they will check if the motherboard is cracked the mother board is not cracked it has liquid Damage.

Then i asked her are calls recorded she said yes they do record calls Then i told her to please listen to the call i had with Portia and i told her that the phone just stopped working . She said its no use for them to listen to the call . it wont help they have pictures that they will send to the head office.

and they can send them to me , My question now is how do i know those pictures are for my phone and for them confidently sending me to tell the head office about my query cause they have pictures.

Of what liquid i asked she said it can be cold drink or juice she doesn't know i am the one who knows what that liquid is.

I did not drop my phone into the water Nor Spill anything on the phone.

Hence i asked for the call to be listened to when i called in to report the phone , I told her if i had done the damage i would have said i would like to bring in my phone cause of this and this damage like i did at first. But i did not do anything to the phone

She said well Mam it is your word against ours and at least we gave you a discount of 10%, I asked her 10% what is it for meaning as I am quoted R 4,606.92 I must be Happy??? I am confused. Then she said we can even send you the picture's

Then she said Mam you can either reject the Quote and take your phone back or Report us to our head office and we know they will ask for the pictures and we will send them to see the liquid damage and you will still have to pay.

I told her it doesn't make sense how much is this phone she said she doesn't know she doesn't work for sales I told her other Markets sell it for R 3,200.00 me paying R 4,606.92 its just like me buying a new phone. and no its a phone getting fixed

She said hence I said you can accept the Quote with the 10% discount we gave you or reject it,

It doesn't Make sense to have my phone fixed at MM all Electronics then 8 months , 3 weeks then the is no crack whatsoever the phone is still as we took it then they check they say the phone is fine they will open it to check whether the mother board is cracked cause the phone had a cracked screen.

Then it comes back as liquid damage . It doesn't make sense to pay R 4.06.92 am i buying a new phone and lets not forget the proof that they will send that the head office will ask for and how I will end up paying for it and how i must be grateful for the 10% discount .

Also I am still on contract for 24 months and I am paying for this phone Monthly. So just how much am i supposed to spend for this Samsung A30 and being Told the phone is out of warranty that time the phone was released last year and I got it in August. its not even a year but i am out of warranty how

I am not happy it doesn't make sense please someone help
