Bad Business Preactice

My mobile( Sumsung Note 5) has been with your accredited service repair agent Cell Clinic Riverside Circle, Riverside Park (Ticket# 30241) for now 4 Weeks for re-booting and overheating. I got a call on the first two days saying it was caused by water damage and I have been quoted for R4.2K for New motherboard. I accepted the quote though I had no idea of water coming into my phone. Now the next 3 Weeks was a nightmare, having to call every day for an update on this repair. I eventually walked in into the shop and was told my phone was now an “Exchange Job”. The next logical thing for me was to ask at what cost or variable of which I was told “at no cost” by the front desk lady. I called Sumsung HO for arrange an exchange, the new Sumsung S7 edge was delivered to Cell Clinic and I was phoned to come pick it up, went to the store and I was told to cough out R4.2K or I don’t get the phone. I got few questions below

Why should I be paying this when I was told I won’t be charged for it?
Is the amount now for Motherboard or Phone? How did we come to this amount?
Is it good business practice and ethical to just charge your clients on any quotation irrespective changed trading conditions?

I had the bad experience would like Sumsung and your service partner to take responsibility for this unfair practice

Regards

Ref ********** 706

079 **********
