Avoiding Warranty Repair

Good day

My device - Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908E)

The phone is indicating that the charge port might be "wet", when plugging in the charger it says there might be a foreign object in the charge port. I took the phone in to the Samsung Customer Service Centre in Hillcrest Office Park, Hatfield, Pretoria, South Africa. They assessed the phone and said it would need a new Sub Assembly but that they could not help me as they have no idea when stock will be available again. (They could not even say if it will be a 1 month or 2 months wait).

This phones warranty expires on 4 March 2024, and this just seems like a ploy for Samsung to wait until the phone is out of warranty and then advise the sub-assemblies are available again, but then I must pay for it myself.

I believe that if Samsung wants to maintain their name for a quality product, then this phone should be exchanged seeing as there are apparently no Sub-Assemblies available in the country.
