Avoided helping me with returned goods

Our company purchased R70k of TVs and computer screens from the Samsung Store in Somerset Mall, South Africa in August 2016. One 27" computer screen has become defective (two lines of pixels and a few more pixel groups failed).

I atempted to return the screen to the same store today. The sales assistant diverted me to a young gentleman who would assist me. He did everything in his power to discourange me from returning the screen to him: Store under new ownership; he does not have the data he needs on the system; it would take 1 month longer to help me if he gets involved, while it will take 2 to 3 days if I drive to a different store; he does not know how to do this; he can't really do it, but maybe...; etc.

He attempted to divert me to the Samsung Smart Care Centre in Century City/Canal Walk 56km away (while his store is 1km away).

I bought this product at the store in question. Changing ownership should not make any difference. Long stories should not make any difference. Samsung should hold the store responsible for providing an EFFICIENT service (including fast service) when returning goods, esp with a stated 2 year warranty against defects. Customers should not be discouraged to return goods to the store where it was purchased.

I have not yet returned the computer screen and I'm not driving to Century City!
