Appalling Service

When i left the gym my phone switched off and when I switched it back on, my battery was dead. I got home and tried charging the phone throughout the night, the phone didnt charge.

02 Feb 10:00am- i took my phone to Samsung Service Center in Bank City which is a 5minutes walk away from work. The consultant asked me to leave the phone so he cant try and charge it, and that I should come back around lunch time. 1pm i was there, the guy told me the phone didnt charge but he'll try make a plan for me, and that i should come back tomorrow.

03 Feb 10:00am- my phone was not fixed, i was told the problem was the battery, which i disputed as the phone was still new (bought September 2016). They guy told me to come back around lunch time. Lunch time came and he told me the problem was not the battery but the "engine" of the phone. He'll try and fix it, i should come back when I knock off. Knock off time i went back and was told there was nothing he could do for me. I should come back on Monday.

All this time I did not have a loan phone and left my email address on my POP for him to contact me.

06 Feb 10:00am- i went back, my phone was not fixed. It was no longer the "engine " but my phone had water damage. Failing to understand how the water got there, I disputed it but all in vain. The consultant who was fixing my phone had already handed it over to the next consultant who asked me to come around lunch time to check if he couldn't do anything for me. Lunch time I was told the water damage was bad, I must pay R900 for it to be fixed but however they don't have the specific phone parts to fix my phone. I was told they'll only be receiving the parts on Thursday, i should come fetch my phone on friday the 17th. I was given a cracked Samsung S6 Edge phone as a loan phone which i did not even sign for.

I think around the 08th after lodging a complaint on the Samsung website on the 03rd already, a helpful lady called me and I relayed the tale to her. She inisted that if my phone is not fixed by the given time I should call her.

17th Feb 10:00am i went and I was told the parts were delayed and my phone was still not fixed. I should come fetch it on Saturday. Told them I do not work on Saturdays and that I'll come on Monday at 10:00am. Saturday around 12, an sms was sent confirming my phone was fixed.

20 Feb around 13:30pm, Thabiso called to inform me that my phone was repaired and ready for collections, i told him I'd come at 16:30pm when I knock off. A couple of seconds later he called asking if I can't come now as the loan phone is urgently needed. I told him I had already taken lunch and the best I could do was come at 15:00pm. I decided to go then and when I got there, my "repaired" phone's cover was cracked. The consultant told me that the COVER fell and shattered and that I should come on Friday to have it replaced.

From the 03rd Feb-20 Feb, there was a partial services failure due to the lack of professionalism and communication. I left my email address for a reason. Again, if my phone fell before or afterthe SMS sent on Saturday, why couldnt they replace the back cover then? Why must I go back on Friday?

I am appalled by this type of service from Samsung. Maybe I should've dealt with Vodacom as this is a contract phone. There went my R900 and daily trips to Samsung only plan a future plan going back there to fix my back cover.
