Android Auto
I have been trying to connect my Hyundai i20 infotainment system to my Samsung A31 phone but it will not connect, after a bit of investigation I have contacted Hyundai and they kindly got back to me ( My apologies to Hyundai.)and found that the problem is not with the Hyundai infotainment system but the Samsung android version 10, Samsung android 10 is not compatible with the Infotainment system. So who is to blame now. Google android or Samsung?... This is poor work as all new vehicles are coming out with infotainment systems and Google android /Samsung should be aware of this and rectify this problem ASAP... Below my online chat with Samsung: Kindly note that we do apologies that the device is no longer compatible with the car, however it will not be possible for us to downgrade the operating system ... My email from Hyundai: I have liaised with our Technical team and have been advised that the software that has been added – Android 10 by the supplier Samsung is not compatible with our system. Unfortunately this is not the radio but the Android 10 software used on the phones.

I sincerly hope this problem can be solved asap or it will leave me with a basic radio with navi but without the Android Auto function that is supposed to be the infotainment option for linked phone ,I wait your reply

30 Apr 2021, 12:17Samsung has kindly returned my call but unresolved due to a glitch from the Samsung developers for Android.
I have a Samsung A31 phone with Android 10 on contract with a mobile service provider that started last year, But this phone will not link to my Car infotainment system because Samsung / Android has not included the Samsung A series to be compatible for all infotainment systems.
This is a very strange attitude from Samsung / Android as the A series phones are a very popular series .
So my thoughts are can Samsung rectify this yesterday or am I supposed to buy a S series phone that is compatible with my problem as per Samsung agent.
I understand Android 11 is available but not yet sent to my phone for update But even with Android 11 it will not work because the A series phone has been neglected with some Android features.
I did not know that I was going to buy a vehicle with an infotainment system but one would imaging that all features are available on all phones that have Android and all or most new vehicles are coming out with infotainment systems and this is now a problem for me because my radio is just a radio with Navi and no Infotainment system.
The agent has promised feedback for which I am thankful.
