ADH HOAX

I took my device to a samsung smart care centre in cape town as my phone was over heating and battery not lasting. Batt wouldnt charge at all. It was told to me by the consultant that my device was to bashed up and it for-fits its warranty there for... is the adh a hoax as it for accidentital damage as it was explained to me... i think thats bad to receive news like this. Samsung should take it away if it doesnt stand for anything. What am i to do next? Smash the phone and then go claim?
