Samsung de*****ed me after a terrible service

I am extremely unhappy and think it is fair that I inform you of the poor service I received from Samsung.

My phone had a latent defect. The battery got finished and I charged it as it was off. It then indicated fully charged. I switched it on and it only switched to the point of Samsung colours and never proceeds. I switched it on and off a number of times and removed the battery but still got the same response.

I then took it to the Samsung shop I bought it from.Samsung Jabulani mall. The guy that sold it to me was there fortunately. He tried fixing it, deleted everything and formatting it is after then when he said there is something wrong and he too doesn't know what is it and The cause. The solution was for him to book it in.

I agreed and I was told TAT was a month. After completing the form for repairs I was now told that my phone will not be accepted by repair centre without proof of purchase.

I was unhappy about that, since it meant I had to drive over 20ks and look for it and drive back for a latent defect that wasn't caused by me. I then asked the guy to send them the copy from them since I bought it there WHICH HE himself doesn't have. I then said they must send it to repair centre and if the centre has a problem with accepting my phone they should call me.

After two weeks inconvenienced having no phone no communication. I receive a message that says Samsung repair centre has rejected my phone because its a must to have the POP.

I took it there and I was unhappy that this people kept my phone for two weeks never bothered to even sms me and acknowledge receipt of my phone like Vodacom does. I took the proof to them after pass 18days or so I was excited when I received a message that my phone is back and ready for collection. When I collected it the phone could now switch on but was now incorrectly closed. It freezes the buttons needs me to press them hard and the worst is the back button shifts it now looks like an old s**** phone. Yesterday the button moved completely and couldnt be pressed.

I took it back again to the same shop. Since I haven't finished two weeks since collection. Found the same guy and again I'm told I must go get the proof of purchase to which I was loosing my patience. The branch manager told me the same thing. I was unhappy because all the problems I am having with my phone are all things I have not caused the first was a factory fault but the current one was caused by negligence of Samsung for making my phone worse than the reason I initially took it in for.

I insisted they call the head of repair centre for I'm not going back to find the proof of purchase again for the damage they caused. Since I was insisting they then called Samsung Bank City and they asked me to take it there. I went there and found a very proffessional guy called Thabo.

For the first time I was treated with dignity, smile, accuracy, speed and with assurance of getting help. Firstly the guys were dressed very corporate and represantable. The guy Thabo opened my phone and confirmed that my phone was incorrectly put back. He also confirmed that they put something inside that doesn't belong to my phone hence the button cannot sit on its proper place. So even with his effort of helping where he opened it there was nothing much except for temporal measure for me to have a phone in the interim of him getting to the core of the problem because it still gives me the same challenge.

Thabo was willing to let the shop I bought from to send the proof of purchase. He thoroughly explained that he needs to see the dates and he promised I will get help and that made me calm as I left the shop.

The reason why I want to publish this and also take it to hello peter is because, this to me is ***** done deliberate by someone who knows I wouldn't know my phone has been fidgited with, and performed mediocre without caring about the inconvenience. That to me is disrespect and not caring for your customers. Now I'm paying petrol send from pillar to post, wasting my time for ups and downs and still have another possible inconvenience of not having a phone for I don't know how many days for refixing.

I bought a Samsung phone to have a good phone and because I respect the brand. I never signed up for this unfair bad service and such inconvenience and to be de*****ed on advantage of being a layman as far as phones are concerned.

I use my phone for business and read even my emails from it. To be treated with no care for a product I paid for and not get the benefits is wrong and putting back wrong parts that doesn't even fit well is an insult and not taking pride of your brand to drag it badly in the mud with such disrepute.

I'm fuming to say the least. I hope this matter will be treated in extreme urgency and at least some respect.

Regards
