Samsung Brand Stores not worth a visit

I heard Samsung brand Store advertising their Price Match policy and I thought it was a brilliant idea as I needed a new smart phone. After phoning and speaking to Somerset mall Samsung brand store manager JP Malan as well as a in store customer service / sales person to confirm the T&C of this price match promise, I continued with making my way to the store itself to make my purchase.

According to both Samsung store staff there were 4 T&C for this price match promise, namely 1. Same device / product, 2. Cash transaction only, 3. Product matched must be from reputable company and 4. Availability of same product. But on trying to get this promised price match for their Samsung galaxy S9+ or S9 I was told that they can't price match as product is not from reputable companies as they are too cheap and online stores.

Samsung, according to manager, couldn't even match the price for the S9+ as advertised by Deon wired ( as it was according to him below cost price) although before he saw their price he said they will match reputable companies like Deon wired's prices. After talking to manager, which could not tell me why he didn't tell me about these limitations to Samsung's stores price match deal before I travelled all the way to their store , I realised that Samsung's price match is just so much garbage and their T&C should rather be 1. They will not price match except for expensive stores (which defeats the purpose of this policy as it was to match their competitors smart phone prices), 2. They will price match when they want. I think this is ********* advertising and not befitting their brand.
