Good products BUT poor service from chain stores
My girlfriend and I were in the market for a new TV. So we looked at a few options and finally settled on a 55 inch 4k UHD TV. We went to the Samsung store in the Waterfront to purchase the TV. The previous day I spoke with one of the salesmen and he told me that I could speak with Chantel when I get to the store. Upon arrival, Chantel was not very welcoming. We asked about a specific model and she told one of the other salesmen, a junior I assume, to show us the tv. Only after she saw me taking out the money to pay for the tv was she nice towards us. The poor youngster was talked to as if he was a minor. My girlfriend and I did not feel very welcome in the store. The staff at that store should be went for customer service training. The youngster was very helpful and nice but the lady in charge on the day was not.
The next day I went to the Samsung store in Tyger Valley mall to speak to one of the salesman as I was having some issues with picture quality and was hoping one of them could help me. The salesman I spoke to told me that the model I bought was 2 years old and becuase of that, the picture won't be as smooth as the 2020 models. I just said okay thank you and left becuase clearly he does not know what he is talking about. A 2018 model spec 4k uhd TV won't have smooth and clear picture??? Really??? After getting home and tinkering with the settings myself, I eventually got the picture I was expecting. So the staff, or at least that one salesman needs training becuase clearly they don't know that they are doing.
Samsung, you make good products, hence we purchased the tv and not too long ago one of your Harman kardan tuned soundbar and subwoofer setups but the level of service received from both Waterfront and Tyger Valley branches was average at best. I surely hope after sales service is better than this.
