SA Migration International

The staff at SA Migration International (SAMI) do NOT know the laws/rules around visas. I inquired about a work permit for my staff member. I gave all the facts. I was a little concerned I was not receiving all the information. SAMI kept pushing for payment. I kept asking questions. SAMI staff got rude, saying I am only wanting information for free. This was all via whatsapp. I called into their offices. Spoke to another consultant who confirmed to me the work permit (given the circumstances) was not an option. I asked to deal with this new consultant. Only to be led down another in-experienced staff member. I again gave ALL the facts. I was told my staff member would qualify for a spousal visa even though the spouse is NOT South African and does not have a visa. I was told a person could legally work if you have a spousal visa. I have in writing where I confirmed the spouses immigration / legal status. I was told it is ok, your staff member CAN get a spousal visa. I paid the costs to SAMI, I paid for the private radiology x-ray, I paid for the private Dr's check-up. Total R 5194.00 - I then follow up to say, what is next? no reply, I keep sending whatsapp's and emails. I then get a reply, SORRY, I made a mistake, your staff member does NOT qualify for a spousal visa, only a volunteer permit. My staff member does not volunteer anywhere and she can not legally work with a volunteer permit. I am told, due to COVID, their accounting staff are working form home and can not process refunds. SAMI staff just push for money and they do not know the actual VISA rules/requirements.
