Steve Bardwell and his son Stephen Bardwell of Salty Print in Salt River, Cape Town, are nothing short of a ******* and common con artists. Steve was paid the full quoted amount of R13,500.00 in October 2020 whereafter they produced and incompletely delivered the most atrocious print/finishing work in November 2020. Additionally I paid them for dies which were incorrectly made and are still in their possession. After months of giving him the opportunity to rectify and being spun one story after the other he promised to refund the amount paid on return of the order. The order has been returned, no refund made and he has chosen to ignore emails as well as final demands by our attorney. Today I called him at his premises and was rudely told that Salty Print (Archelogos cc) is no longer in business, he offered absolutely no apology or explanation and promptly slammed the phone down. It’s clear that his business is still trading as his website takes orders and receives payment through PayPal—how does he intend to fulfil orders if his business is closed? Upon further investigations of my own I’ve discovered the business is not closed at all and sadly numerous people have fallen prey to them. The business is still registered with CIPC - Companies and Intellectual Property Commission but they have not submitted annual returns with South African Revenue Service (SARS) for 2 years. I will be opening a ******** case with South African Police Service against him and his business, handing the matter over to professional debt collectors to recoup the money failing which he will be blacklisted with all credit bureau’s and I’ll be laying a complaint with National Consumer Commission. He was well aware that my business supports homeless women with children so as a matter of principle I will not stop until he is held accountable. Steve is a devious character and not associated with/to The Methodist Church of Southern Africa as advertised on his website. Please beware and do not support this business.
