Slow to ship, slow to deliver, bad attitude

On 5 December I ordered and paid for a pair of shoes on salomonsports.co.za

I few days later I was starting to get anxious as my parcel didn't arrive.

Then on 11 December I got a message saying my parcel is now on the way. What? You only handed it to the courier a week later?!

The courier company MDS Collivery indicated delivery on the 12th. Then on the 13th. By end of day on the 13th I still haven't received my parcel.

I emailed both MDS and Salomon over the weekend (14th) and got this response from Samo Mkhze at Salomon on Monday the 16th:

"Thank you for your email, on the MDS system shows the below, delivery should be tomorrow due to today being a public holiday."

What a sh*tty response. Of course it isn't going to be delivered on a public holiday. My questions are 1) Why did you take 6 days to hand it to the courier company? 2) Why did I get told it will be delivered on the 12th, then the 13th, and now it looks like I will only get it on the 17th or 18th. Almost two weeks after placing the order.
