Salomon Quest4

On 29 July 2024 I purchased a pair of Salomon Quest4 hiking boots at a cost of R5 999. The boots are under warranty for 2 years. Shortly after purchasing the boots I fractured by wrist and did not hike for approx 2 months. I have therefore used the boots for about 2 months, hiking on average once per week. The rubber on the toecaps of both boots has started to come loose and break off. I therefore returned the boots to Salomon for a warranty claim. They have refused to honor the warranty saying that the damage is caused by wear and tear. There is also no way of communicating with them telephonically to discuss this.
