Salomon is not for the serious hiker.

I bought a pair of Salomon Outpulse Mid Gore-Tex boots from the Salomon shop in Canal Walk in March 2022 for R3 500. I went on a 3 day hike in Jordan to test them out and they failed miserably. Sand got in between the outer and inner layers, settling as ridges and bumps under my feet, causing severe blisters. It was impossible to get the sand out. I went to the store and the manager and staff were clearly not interested in after sales service, and just focused on making another sale. I was told to contact customer care and they were as unhelpful. Sorry to say but Salomon is not for the serious hiker!
