SAIBA, NOT-SO PROFESSIONAL!

SAIBA are now easily the worst professional body around. I've been their member since June 2013 and fairly all had been well until recently when they all of a sudden changed to a body that I barely recognize.

I have been a practicing tax practitioner for more than 10 years with a proven track record and this year I decided to apply for SAIBA's tax license since I'm already their member. They pestered me to submit all the required documentation and the payment which I finally did on the 29th, September this year. After submission of the required documents and payment of the registration fee I received an email confirming receipt of the docs and the payment and a notice that I would receive the application outcome in 5-10 working days. To my disappointment, I haven't heard from SAIBA since then and the more than a dozen emails I've sent them have all been ignored. Calls are sent to voice-mail after being made for more than 10 minutes a call!

The professional service and attention we used to receive from SAIBA has surely gone to the dogs and one wonders how a professional body that treats its members like can be trusted with representing them. Pathetic!!!
