SAIBA is not the body they promise to be

I have been a member of SAIBA since 2019. I paid my annual fees as requested. I am registered as BAP(SA) In Feb 2023 I informed SAIBA that I have sold my business and would like to cancel my membership for 2023. I was informed that I need to make a full payment for the year and then I am welcome to cancel. I requested once again a relief for the payment of the annual fees, but I was forced to make full payment. I have done that and completed and sent a request to cancel my membership. The cancelation form did not ask to specify a termination date. The email I received from SAIBA indicated that they will notify me when cancelation is finalised. I never received such an email, but when I contacted SARS as a Tax Practisioner they informed me that I no longer am registered as a TAX Practitioner. SAIBA cancelled it. To date I have not received any notification from SAIBA. It is difficult to get in touch with any one with authority to discuss issues, the only person you can deal with is a consultant that does not understand your request or your problem, Their call centre is difficult to reach, they do not reply to your emails, SAIBA does not take care of its members, but in their adverti*****ts they make a lot of promises.
