Sage & Smoke - Burnt food and disgusting chocolate sauce.

Three of us went to lunch today. We received three burnt boboties... and the rice was bitter. The charred brick of bobotie did not even look appetising. I mentioned this, but nothing was offered or done about it. The waiter seemed not to know what to do. Our dessert waffles had the worst and most disgusting chocolate sauce I have ever tasted. We asked the waiter to taste, and he pulled a face... but did not offer any replacement or solution. Two of the waffles were meant to have chocolate chunks on, but they were missing. On mentioning this, the waiter just went quiet and tried to suggest they had grated it finely... However, I have eaten waffles there before and chocolate chunks were exactly that - chocolate chunks. Again no explanation, no compromise on price, and we left feeling very dissatisfied with the amount of money we spent (over R800) and what we received. My son was visiting from Cape Town, and so I was most disappointed. We are locals, but it is safe to say we will never eat there again. How the owner, who was there in the kitchen, allowed such food to leave the kitchen is a mystery. Why the chef has not yet been fired - a mistake that will cost dearly in the long run.
