So much for "we're all in this together"

I am deeply disappointed in Sage SA's business practices during this Covid19 lock down period. I spent the morning on the phone with their support and registrations departments trying to temporarily change our small NPO's server registration to my laptop. The idea being that I can at least continue to work during this time without having to go into the office. After more than an hour on the phone with 2 different consultants I was informed that they can change the server registration to my laptop but then they can't change it back to the original server after the lock down. They can however sell me an additional site license to bridge this gap. Clearly we're not all "in this together" if the lock down opens up opportunities for Sage to make more money to the detriment of other companies. Up to now I have always appreciated the quality of Sage's products but I am deeply concerned about the ease with which they aim to make money out of the misery of others

I appreciate you contacting me to talk me through this, but unfortunately the same problem remains. The consultants who contacted me simply reiterated that the only way they can solve my problem is to sell me a site license. They offered to reduce the cost from more than R7K for a site license to more than R3K now, but the principal remains. Sage will make money from this if want to find a solution to work from home.
