SAGE - OVER CHARGING

In 2017 I purchased and implemented a software package called SAGE EVOLUTION. Upon requesting a quotation I specifically asked what it would cost my company to run with this package. I received a Quotation. NOWHERE on the quotation or in any email, was I ever quoted a monthly registration fee.

The package was expensive but I kept it South African instead of using a downloadable solution like XERO or QUICKBOOKS. In 2018 I was away on business and didn't realize that my office contacted SAGE as the software had expired and they decided the only way to move forward was to pay the licence. I was not informed as my Business partner thought I was aware of it when I implemented the package.

I have been trying for the last 47 days to try get an answer from sage, but NOBODY returns my emails, my calls or my complaints to their complaints department.

I have 1 email from their salesman that sold me the package saying and I quote, "I did go through my emails and could not unfortunately find the email when I mentioned that the Sage Evolution has a mandatory ALF. ". There was no email. And furthermore, he insists he sent me a document mentioning it, but cannot furnish me with the document, the email he refers to has no attachment.

SAGE EVOLUTION is charging R35000 annual license fee after we paid R102000 for a software for 4 people to use. AND WE GOT ABSOLUTELY ZERO SERVICE FROM SAGE, NOT EVEN A CALL TO SAY WE ARE WORKING ON RESOLVING IT.

Microsoft charges me R2000 for license fee for my Microsoft Office, and they offer me continuous backup, support and updates. We had a problem previously where we battled for a weeks to resolve the software not working.

I AM URGING SOMEONE MORE SENIOR FROM SAGE TO CONTACT ME AS THIS IS NOT ONLY UNACCEPTABLE BUT ********* AND TOTALLY UNNECESSARY.

I HAVE ACCEPTED YOUR QUOTE, AND I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM PAYING A REASONABLE LICENCE FEE WHICH OFFERS PROPER SUPPORT AND IMPROVEMENTS TO OUR SOFTWARE.
