Deceptive Advertising

On 23 November I received an email from Jacques Botha advertising various courses that are available amongst which a Sage Business Cloud Payroll course for R3000.00 excluding VAT. This is exactly the course our payroll officer needs to do, and we followed our internal processes to get the training approved. On the 2nd of December, the paperwork was signed off and our payroll officer enrolled for the course. To our shock we received an invoice for an amount of R6420.00 excluding VAT. When we queried it, we were informed that it was a Black Friday special that expired on the 30th of November 2020. It was very deceptive advertising as it did not indicate a deadline or that it was a Black Friday special and I expect Sage to honour their advertising that this course would only cost R3000.00. On either the 3rd of 4th of December I logged a complaint using Sage support directly from the Sage One Accounting software and selected the Billing Option but have not even received an automated email confirming that my support request has been received. On 7 December I emailed the accounts department regarding my complaint and the person I contacted did escalate my complaint but despite two follow ups I have not received any feedback. Our offices are shutting down this Friday and I need this resolved in order for payment to be processed to secure the training for early next year.
