Buy BIC only to not be able to use properly

After much consideration whether we should buy the costly BIC module for reporting purposes, I started implementing the reports but needed to change certain fields for which the connector is required. Pastel then shows that a license needs to be purchased to use the Connector. After holding for more than 20 minutes I am told that I had purchased the BIC standard module and need to pay an additional R 5885.00 to upgrade to the BIC advanced where I can use this functionality. This is like buying a key to a gate only to be confronted with another even bigger gate with a more expensive key. I still cannot do what I need to do. Reporting is supposed to be part of the deal from the beginning. What does it help I gather my information but cannot use it. Various other Accounting Software packages have this functionality as standard. We have been using Pastel for more than 10 years, but should Sage continue charging for every small aspect of their software we have no alternative but to look for another programme.
