Good day, Please see below email that has been sent to Safeway and to the store that the camp cot was purchased
“I bought a Modello Grenade in +- September 2015. Daughter was only born the 20th of Jan 2016. We only started letting her sleep in the cot from when she turned 3months (April 2016) In +- September 2016 I had noted that the corner had cracked and you kindly swopped it out for a new one for me. In August 2017 the side had cracked once again for the second time. I have lost trust in this make and I wish to get my money back please as we are planning to have another child and when we bought this camp cot we thought that we were getting our monies worth. I have also not taken the cot out of our house it has stayed in the same place since we bought it. I am currently using my sister’s sons camp cot (as I am scared that the plastic breaks off) that they bought for him when he was born 16 years ago. No issue with the camp cot at all, even with its age. We used it with our first child that we had. But when I fell pregnant with our second child we were lucky enough to have the money to spend on a brand new camp cot that we thought that it would also bring years of excellent use. If I had known that I would be buying something that would break every year, I would have never had purchased it. It cannot be coincidence that it has happened to us twice now. I have lost all trust in this make and I would really appreciate it if I could get my money back to buy another cot that will last us for the next 16years as well. I have tried everything to try and get hold of the till slip when we originally bought it, but unfortunately I can’t, nut was able to show proof of payment with my bank statement. We have been very patent and would just like our money so that our daughter can be in her own camp cot and I can give my sister her one back. I think it is unfair that we cannot get our monies back as I do not trust this Brand. Plus, I am expected to pay for courier fees to have the cot analyzed. (the first cot that I sent back was never analysed) and do not know if I will be expected to pay for the fixing of it. My daughter is 20 months old and has not started climbing out of the cot so that cannot be the cause of it cracking as well. There should still be a one-year warranty on the cot seeing that I received the last one in September and informed the Agent of it 09/08/2017. I can’t even tell you when it happened because I do not check the corners, and only saw it by accident. Can someone please sort this out for me please? I have been sending emails, with no response, and you cannot tell me that it is possible to have the cot and it has broken twice.
Regards, Kim Geber
