Safarinow not communicating booking cancellation before I arrived at the guesthouse

Terrible experience with Safarinow.com I made a booking, paid the deposit and received an email confirmation.

When I arrived at the guesthouse on Friday 01 Jan 2019 (after a 2 hour drive); I was told the booking could not be honored and that a refund has done and I needed to wait for it to reflect in my account; there was nothing more they could do.

The guesthouse further advised that the rate on the website was incorrect; therefore they cancelled the booking. I received no prior or any communication indicating such from either Safarinow or the guesthouse. I should not be stranded simply because the rate on the website was incorrect.

I could not make another booking on arrival either because the guesthouse was fully booked as it was a busy Marathon weekend. This is totally unacceptable.

After this experience I cannot rely on Safarinow.com
