Excellent service
Thanks for the reminder.
To start off with I would like to mention that I am 80 years old and started hunting in the early 50's. I think I should know how to fit a scope on a rifle . A while back I purchased a Nikon Rifle Scope from Safari Outdoor, mounted it on my 308 with all the right tools, took it to the range and got a grouping of 10 shots at 100 metres that one could cover with an A-4 sheet of paper. This did not improve during the day. I then returned the scope to Safari Outdoor who sent it to the agents whose report read "tested and no fault found" . I then took it down to the range again and got the same groupings as previously even a club chamption could not get a group. I then took it back to Safari Outdoor who told me they had to return it a second time to Nikon as this was Nikon's policy. This I refused to do, if it was checked and no fault found the first time.
Safari Outdoor contacted Nikon who insisted it go back a second time. I left the scope with Safari as I was not pleased with the outcome. A short while later Safari phoned me and said they would take it upon themselves to replace the scope with any other scope of my choice. I then chose a Burris scope which gave me my normal grouping at 100 metres which a R5 rand coin could almost cover.
I feel Safari Outdoor went out of their way to accommodate me, that is why I will always support local.
Thanking you
