Safari motors *****

<p>Good day,</p> <p> </p> <p>I would like to lay a complaint with regards to a second hand vehicle that was purchased at Safari Motors in Voortrekker road, Bellville.</p> <p> </p> <p>The car was bought on 13 March 2017. I took the car for a road worthy test on Saturday, 8th April 2017 and I was told that there are damages to the car to the value of R40 000, which includes the engine that needs to be replaced (please see attached).</p> <p> </p> <p>I went back to the dealership and told them that the car didn’t pass roadworthy test and informed them that I am concerned that I’ll be spending more money than I paid for the car and secondly that I was not informed of the defects in the car. Replacing the engine alone will cost R28 000!!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Please will you kindly advise how I can take this matter further, as I asked specifically asked the gentleman who sold me the car, if there was any problems with the car and he only referred to the exhaust which needs to be replaced.</p> <p> </p> <p>Kind regards</p> <p> </p> <p>Shaheema</p>
