THE SHAM AT SACPCMP

THE SHAM AT SACPCMP

I am a professional civil engineer with 26 years post graduation experience in 3 different African countries.10 years of which was in SA. I Holds a BSc in Civil Engineering (NQF Level8).Holds an MSc in project management from UP, Professionally registered with the PMI and several Project mgt voluntary associations(PMSA PMI SA chapter,IMESA, SAICE). I Was a lecturer in project and construction mgt to BTech and NDIp students for 6 years at Walter Sisulu University. I have Written professional articles and made presentations at several fora both in SA and abroad. Attended several courses and seminars in project mgt. I Was registered as a candidate at SACPCMP for 10 years. When I approached them for my final registration they delayed their response for almost a year only to come back to tell me that I have insufficient experience. When I appealed they still found me to be of insufficient experience. Only heaven knows what they mean by sufficient experience. Yet a student of mine with BTECH and just 4 years experience was registered. In spite of their rejection a more professionally competent organizations in the USA: ASCE and PMI had Just awarded me their professional certifications; PMP,PE,M.ASCE.

SACPCMP assessment and approval processes is very subjective. It depends on who is assessing u. Until that element of subjectivity is removed u can never be sure of the outcome of ur application. They are soo inefficient and building biased.

THE LEVEL OF iNCOMPETENCE,SUBJECTIVITY AND BIAISE AT SACPCMP IS SERIOUSLY DISCOURAGING WOULD BE CANDIDATES FROM APPROACHING THEM FOR REGISTRATION.

IT APPEARS TO BE JUST A MONEY MAKING SCHEME ONLY INTERESTED IN COLLECTING ALL SORT OF FEES FROM UNSUSPECTING APPLICANTS. THE MINISTRY SHOULD JUST DISBAND THEM AND REPLACE THEM. THEY ARE NOT SERVING ANY PURPOSE

JB Nartey A disgruntled applicant *** BSc,MPM,PMP,PE,M.ASCE.
