Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Incompetence from SACPCMP

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the substandard service and apparent incompetence exhibited by the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP). My experience with this organization has been frustrating and costly, culminating in the loss of a job opportunity.
On May 8, 2024, I submitted my application for registration as required by the industry for Safety Officers. This registration was a crucial requirement for a job offer I had received, with a strict two-month deadline to obtain the necessary certification. Despite this pressing timeline, the process has been nothing short of a nightmare.
The assessor completed the assessment part promptly, but since then, my efforts to follow up on the status of my application have been met with silence. I have made numerous phone calls and sent multiple emails, yet it appears that no one is working in their offices. This lack of communication and support is unacceptable and demonstrates a severe lack of competence and customer service.
The consequences of SACPCMP's inefficiency are dire. As an unemployed Safety Officer, the delay in obtaining my registration has directly resulted in the loss of a job offer. This not only affects my livelihood but also reflects poorly on the entire industry, which relies on SACPCMP for professional certification.
It is unfair and deeply frustrating that an organization tasked with upholding professional standards is failing so spectacularly in its duties. The potential for widespread dissatisfaction and unrest among professionals in similar situations is high, and it is only a matter of time before more individuals begin to revolt against this ineptitude.
I urge you to take this complaint seriously and investigate the operations of SACPCMP. It is crucial that they improve their service delivery and communication to prevent further injustices to professionals relying on their certification.
