SACCAWU, Pick n Pay and OLD MUTUAL - ***********!

My mother retired early this year after she worked for Pick n Pay for over 3 decades going on 4. After submitting all he Provident Fund claim documents to an Edith Berrington at their PnP HR office, she called to confirm if all was in order with the documents and she confirmed that all documents submitted were in order.

Her last working day was 31 March 2023, and was told to wait for 6 weeks, latest being the 2nd week of June - claim would definitely be paid out by the 2nd week of June.

She has been waiting hungry since then, when she calls Edith she is always on either a phone call or she went out but NEVER calls back. When she reaches out to her on her cellphone she gets ignored. Today she reached out to the Saccawu National Provident Fund to find out what the status of her claim is, she was told to contact Old Mutual, who told her that they only received her claim documents just yesterday - DOCUMENTS THAT WERE SENT ON THE 20th January 2023!!!

A whole 4 months later??? What do you think she survives by all this time??? This is her MONEY that she has worked hard for all these years, Pick n Pay is not doing her any FAVOURS!!!

This is just ridiculous!
