Unfair and inconsiderate matric assessment rule posed by SACAI

Learners have continuous assessment through their learning institutions which contribute to the final Matric mark. In addition they are required to sit for final assessment. Particularly the English subject had 3 paper sittings. My daughter missed one sitting but wrote 2 papers and has a continuous assessment mark but her English results are held and we are told that she is required to sit for May/June exam and re-write all 3 papers afresh if she wants to have a mark for the English subject. We just learnt of this upon making enquiries with the school about a code reflecting agains her English mark. How is it fair that this is only communicated now. Does this now mean that the serious challenge that kept her from writing one paper is invalid to SACAI? We deserve answers and justice in this regard. SACAI must account for this.
