Pathetic service

<p>We have been struggling for two years now and so far we have had the most terrible experience. Firstly the doctors wanted my son to go for the cochlear implant and then we and the doctors sent all the needed documents required to Sabmas. Then Sabmas lost all the documents and did not take the initiative to let us know, after we enquiry them they only then told us they lost the documents, so the doctor's secretary sent them the documents again and so did we. After a year Sabmas's doctors decided they did not want to pay for the cochlear implant even though they were not even the doctors who had been doing all tests and said that we must go for option 2 crossover or option 3 the baha, all the test was done by the Ear Institute of South Africa and doctors apart from the Institute. Sabmas insisted that my son must undergo a speech test which we did, then the test came back and we went back to the Ear Institute with the results, so we deciced on option 2 the crossover, my son had a week to test out the crossover and we were happy with the results. Now another year has past my son has still not received the crossover hearing aid, that is what the medical aid prefered and now they expect me to pay R 15 725 for the crossover and they want to pay the lesser amount of R 13 400. The money must be paid all at once and can not be paid off and it is quite a big sum of money to be paid. I have cried for nights over this, this is affecting my son's school work as you can imagine and all I want is that my son can hear properly and ****ion as any other child.
