Never buy anything from Sable Homes

In the unit above mine the geyser was incorrectly mounted and supported in the ceiling. As a result it fell out of the ceiling and the water pipes on either side broke causing the upstairs unit and mine downstairs to fill with water. The occupants of both units were not home at the time so the water continued to pour from the pipes for hours. Sable Homes in their true unco-operative fashion have done nothing to assist or reimburse me for an entire home worth of electrical goods and furniture that have been ruined. I bought a new unit 16 months ago. I have been out of my home for 4 months. The workmanship was signed off by a building inspector who probably never put foot on the premises! At least 12 others in phase 1 also have geyser problems. Damp is an inherent problem throughout the complex as no proper damp proofing was done.<br> I complained of a sewerage smell in my kitchen - was told I was imagining it. When they removed the damp, rotten cupboards they found an uncovered drain which was giving off this foul smell.<br> Sable and Sabreal personnel from the top down do not know how to treat clients - disgraceful. Probably because there is so much wrong with what they providing.
