Disgraceful

I am writing this having purchased a property at The Retreat, Silver Lakes, Pretoria. We bought the yet to be built property in January 2014 and using our flexi-bond paid the full purchase price plus extras in February 2014. We did this as we were told that the property would be finished in August with registration in September 2014. To date registration has still not been completed due to servitude problems with the Tshwane Council. According to Sable Homes it's all due to Tshwane continually introducing new legal requirements. We have had many promise dates for registration, the last being that it would happen in October 2015, that was until we received notification over this weekend that it has now gone out to April 2016. All our money is sitting in the attorneys trust account earning 4,5% interest while we pay the bank 9% interest. The property is a retirement home for our later years and it was our plan to rent it out until we require it. To date these delays have cost us approximately R100,000 in lost rental income. Sable Homes promises and commitments mean nothing. They don't return phone calls, emails (Shirley is one exception), keep appointments or keep their promises .

Dear Mr Paramor, we acknowledge your complaint and dis-satisfaction, we further advise that we have corresponded with you directly as recent as 20 April 2016 and have scheduled a meeting with you to provide feedback and proposals to mitigate the current negative situation. Unfortunately there is a substantial element relating to delays created as a result of Local Authority processes which is unfortunately beyond the control of Sable Homes. We are not making excuses and we are fully committed to resolve the situation with you and amicably. Kind Regards

Best regards,
