TV licence frustration!

I bought a tv in 2008, 2009 my father passed away in September and I sold the tv! In 2010 I was evicted ftom my flat and lost all my papers and documentation; ended up in a rehab and then worked at another! 2014 I received notigication of huge 'outstanding' fees! I did an affidavit and faxed it from SABC Durban offices! Last year I was getting mail to pay R6000 plus for my licence! R26 per month and R260 per year from 2009 till present! Late last year I was handed over to MBD Collections demanding payment! I haven't owned a tv since 2009 and can't buy one because of this either! Don't know how to get this sorted out! Very disconcerting and upsetting!
