SABC ill treats its former 40year service Employee on his Pension benefit

Our family is deeply hurt by how the SABC has handled and still handling our Father pension matter, After he was declared medically unfit to resumes his duty , the SABC took it upon them to do their own findings using their own Private Doctors , the finding were relevant that he is unfit. Mind you he has served the SABC for 40 years as a Camera Man unbroken service yet today he is treated like ******* by the Human Resource Manager who is very rude, ****** and arrogant according to his treatment so far regarding my father pension issue. The whole process that transpired happened very fast and we feel There was no transparancy regarding his pension issue , How can the management finalise all pension matters with the very same person declared unfit due to mental disability, without 3rd party involved or legal presentation to foresee that the whole process is fair and transparent and for the Member to way his options around his entitled benefits ? A decisions was pushed that a disability be taken without proper explanation on the disability pension mind you the very same process is done with the very same member declared medically unfit. In a nut shall my Parents were expecting a lump sum but the disability that was pushed does not have a lump sum in only has monthly Salary , bear in mind my father was left with a year to his retirement age wen he was declared unfit. Which pension would opt for disability that will pay you monthly Salary until you die living you no option to enjoy your benefits one worked for very hard for 40 years? We took it upon us as the children off my father to challenge this decisions and rather request that the disability be amended to Early retirement, the SABC pension house have no problem to amend the decision but they need authorisation from the Employer Which is Human Resource in this case, we went to meet up with the HR manager oh that man had i not struggled him that Day God knows, he Attended us at a front reception to speak to us about a very confidential matter infront off everyone making way in and out off Sabc, not even a decency to take us to his office he addressed us right at the reception standing and my Parents are pensioners they had to stand on their feet for an hour imagine thats how you get treated for serving 40years. We than wrote an email to the very same arrogant HR manager for an appeal to amend the disability to early retirement in March, Did a follow up around April, he does not update us nor hardly responds to my email to date, and this matter is very exhausting and affecting my father health condition we seriously need a urgent intervention with this matter hope our cry wont fall into deaf ears. Its people such as SABC HR manager who contribute towards this Country failing to unite because off ill treatment we experimented from them and we figured maybe if the appeal was made by a white person like him it would be resolved by now. i appeal to everyone who has Parents in and out off SABC already approaching their pension years to assist your Parents not to fall victims to such ill treatment it really affects them considering their health condition . We also appeal for feather advice and intenvension on this matter. Hope that no one wil ever fall victim to such its really sad to see our Parents Stressing Day in and out being Kept in the Dark for your own benefit no SABC this is not on.
