Not fair .

I am doing doing on behalf of another pensioner . He bought the battery the 4th month of 2021 and this past weekend ,he could not start his car .We put it on charge for a few hyours and it showed 14V .So I suggested to try and not enough amps because the solenoid just clicked . An aquaintance suggested to open it for the water and it was done too quickly for us to warn him about the possibilities that it is a SMF battery . It was empty of water ... luckily my friend had a bottle .Recharge the battery overnight been a Saturday ...No success and decided to go into town on Monday . The people ate autozone could see the effect of having it opened ...Anyway they charge him for a new battery even after testing it and charge it again and concluded that the battery is 'broken" .I do not think it is fair ...It was broken before it was open . Sabat has a good reputation but we are human and not so good one could have passed the manufacturing . Thank you .
