Pathetic service delivery and despondent manager
The Copper Chimney Midrand has given me the the worst experience possible and this is not only referring to the food but also the pathetic ethic and approach that the establishment has toward customer satisfaction. A couple of colleague's and myself decided to grab lunch at Copper Chimney Midrand as we were in the mood for Indian cuisine and this establishment was the closest to the office park. We arrived there and we were pleasantly surprised by the two for one special that was running on their chicken Tikka(Two portions for the price of R100). Let me add that we have bought from this restaurant, plenty of times and we were all fully satisfied by not only the service but the food. Today unfortunately was not one of those days. Upon arriving to the office , excited and positively starving we were met with oil drenched Salad, A full portion of chips(which actually was three chips in total per portion). As any person could imagine, I called and asked to speak to the manager as the amount of oil actually made us feel ill! I was greeted by a manager whom really did not care about the service or food he was providing. He rudely and shortly informed me that the portions are small due to it being a two for the price of special, so in actuality he splits one full portion in two and sells it as a special(these were the actual words out of the managers mouth). This to me personally, this proves to be false advertising and extremely misleading to customers who have been supporting this business for a really long time. I suggest that the owners of this establishment really access their quality of food and staff as a whole as Copper Chimney Midrand has lost a good three customers!! Due to the managers poor regard for respect and accountability as I do understand that all restaurants have a bad day now and then but pathetic customer service unfortunately, no excuses can be made!
