Please assist me Funeka malgas rented a car @ Saayman car rental in strand in December 2018 car was returned the 3rd of January 2019 their deposit is R4000 + the daily rental of R 576 FOR 13DAYS ADDED UP TO R6500 the full amount that was aid was R10500 I than returned the car on the 3rd of January this year ,we notice that the car had a scratch as it was parked @ a shopping mall so someone must have scratched it and left I than send the car to the panel beater to spray the car as it was not a dent just needed a white spray said the panel beater everything was sorted and the scratch was gone ,as we went to the car rental expecting to get the deposit back of R4000 they notice the paint spray or maybe the paint was not dry enough not sure how they notice they told me will NOT GET ANY MONEY THEY WILL SEND IT TO THEIR PANEL BEATERS ,I than agreed knowing that it will not be that expensive THEY NEED TO ATLEAST GIVE ME CHANGE ON THE R4000 deposit I waited kept on calling them was told they will get back to I waited impatiently as I needed the money finally tried calling after a week or two was told Malone whom works the that I will not get a cent the panel beater they used is R 5000 so I owe them I started to have questions that how does their insurance work as I know white spray is not that expensive and I already took the car to the panel beater so all the job was done so I expected to get at least something from the car rental so Malone told me I owe them I than requested the quotation that was the last I heard from him after 3weeks I returned at work tried to call them again for the quotation and was shocked what kind of a company that doesn’t send quotation he cannot tell me over the phone that the quote was R5000 AND I NEVER SAW ANY QOUTATION ON the 22nd of January I followed up and they say they will look for the quotation I find it funny they have never given me any quotation how can they lose it I find that strange after struggling to get the quote Malone emailed me a faded quote when I checked on the internet the name of the company didn’t exist and traced the cell phone number it was his friends cell phone I believe this is ***** and tis company is ****** and there’s a lot of ***** as they have forged the documents send to me please assist I am south African I believe I have rights I have children that dependent on that money that I was supposed to get back from the car rental please assist me I see they taking advantage now because of my skin colour and the way they handled the situation not respected as a client and the customer service that was so horrible .i am very disappointed how they treat people making money and very greedy so disappointed please I need help.
