WELL DONE SAA

I suffered a major injury to my shoulder whilst at the South Coast, KZN and had to fly back to Jhb asap. When I got to the SAA counter at the airport in Ballito, the ground hostess noticed I had a shoulder/arm brace on and asked if I needed assistance. I answered "yes please". I wish I had taken her name but want to say that I was so impressed by her kindness, professionalism and friendliness. She even helped me when I needed to go to the bathroom before going to the board the airplane - which was a rather personal matter, however, I could not cope using just my left arm. She took me to a waiting area and as soon as it was time to board she ensured that I was taken by wheelchair to the airplane by an airport porter who was just as kind. Every small bump was agony and he ensured that he reduced movement throughout the trip to the airplane. When I boarded, I was handed over to an airhostess who kindly took me to an isle seat - the ground hostess had ensured that nobody was booked in the seat to the right if me so that I would not be accidentally bumped or be uncomfortable. I thought that very thoughtful and kind of her. My luggage was stored and my safety belt put on for me.

On arriving at ORT, I received the same amazing service and treatment.

I know that there has been a lot said about SAA regarding its rebirth, etc etc, however, I am placing on record here that I have never received such kind, professional care on any other airline to-date.

Thank you to all the SAA staff that helped me on 10th April 2022. After all I had suffered through, I felt a lot less stressed and felt valued and cared about as a client.

Glenda
