voyager *******

Tried to redeem voyager miles through website. All went well until I saw the additional taxes for flight from Cape Town to Durban totalling R1400. I went ahead but realised I made a mistake with the traveller details. It was my first time to redeem in this way.<br> I tried to get hold of the call centre to fix the details. I booked in March for a flight in June. There was no way I could get the details changed. I had to cancel the booking, request a refund and redo the booking. Since I made the booking in March I was informed I would also lose my 20000 miles when I cancelled. So I couldn't change details and couldn't re book as I lost my miles. Brilliant! <br> I checked for flights with Kalula, same route return cost only R2100, only R700 more than SAA taxes. What a ******* voyager programme is. Oh, and I can't use miles to pay for the taxes either. <br> I now fly BA and Kalula.
