Unrealistic layover time was charged R2440 extra

My mother in law purchased a ticket from ORT via Munich to Hamburg,Germany. The system only showed that there will be the obvious stop over without mentioning the City or times. After purchasing the ticket the system showed that she would arrive in Munich at 7:20 am to be expected to get the connecting flight to Hamburg leaving at 8:00 am. The same story traveling back from Hamburg to Munich: Arriving in Munich at 19:15 to catch the international flight to Johannesburg at 21:00.<br> How is she supposed to do that??? The gates close half an hour before take off and those are the times which were allocated by the SAA system to fly into the appropriate airport.<br> She called the reservation number and was put on hold for 15 minutes to be told that they have to ask for permission with the international booking counter to change times. She was supposed to call back after three to four hours. Which she duly did---Three times in a row, always being told to call back an hour later. After the whole day had passed with these proceedings she was told that there is no availability in the price class she had booked.The next morning she ended up paying R2440 more for the change! This is outrageous!
