i was on SA 313 19 March from JHB to CPT when a lady from SAA refused for me to get into the plane with my bag. I am SA Voyager member (***) that has been flying with SAA many times and i have been able to get into the plane with the same bag. the lady insisted that i leave my bag with her and i did. when i got to CPT 3 items where missing from my bag. i then went to baggage services in Cape Town and a file was opened for me (CPTSA86193) and i was requied to get quotations of the missing Items and email them to Baggage Services. i got all the quotes that amounted to R 4458 and R1231 was paid to me. when i spoke to Vuyo Mbili from SAA Buggage Service she told me that they will not pay the full amount. they only pay compansation. i dont understand why did i have to go through the trouble of getting quotes for my missing items if SAA decides themself what to pay.
