South African Airways lies to customer

I bought a return ticket through Flightcentre and they booked me with SAA. My passport got lost and when the time came that I had to fly I went to SAA on the day before 11h00am and asked them to extend my time because I am waiting for my visa and according to SAA and Flightcenter I have a year to use my ticket. The guy at SAA said it was okay and I can come to him anytime when I got my visa. One week later I went to him and ready to fly, then he told me that he couldn't find the "right code" to book the ticket again and went to his supervisor. The supervisor told him I had to pay R8000 on that ticket if I want to use it. Crazy... The code is not my problem. Then the guy at the counter said it is better if I buy another ticket because it will be cheaper. I did because I had to fly that night. Now my ticket will expire in May and when my friend went to Flight centre they checked the ticket and it showed that SAA cancelled my ticket because I never pitched up tor the flight, which is a lie. I don't have that kind of money to throw away. Flight centre said they can't refund me and SAA still have a code problem to help me... I think this is worse than *****ing a single ladies money who work very hard and hope somebody can give me an answer to this matter.
