SAA Voyager Miles DONATION Policy

I have lots of voyager miles expiring, a situation that happens often , as there are always miles left, that are too few to use. I WAS PLEASED to see that SAA VOYAGER had a program that you can DONATE your unused miles to a CHARITY. I was a bit disappointed in finding out that I could only DONATE IN TRANCHES OF 5000 miles. what a waste !! so if you have 4999 miles to donate , you cannot donate them??? or any smaller amount than 5000 Miles. how many miles are being wasted because of this SILLY Minimum Limit Rule. SAA PLEASE SCAP THIS RULE SO THAT CHARITIES can ACCUMULATE lots of marginal bits of MILES , that combined , will have great value for the charities rather than just going unused and down the drain. I APPLAUD THE SAA POLICY , but am DISAPPOINTED at this silly 5000 MILE rule. its LIKE GIVING WITH ONE HAND , TAKING the KUUDUS , and THEN TAKING BACK with Both. SSA VOYAGER , PLEAE CHANGE THIS SILLY POLICY and MAKE SOME MILAGE OUT OF IT, IN publicity and praise.
