SAA South African Airways worst airline to travel with

I wish to voice my total dissatisfaction with the service on SAA flights departing Cape Town to New York on 30 March SA352, SA203, and from New York to Cape Town on 8 April 2018 on SA204, SA323

Over the last 3 months I have traveled to 4 countries using 5 different airlines and 12 flights.

The SAA flights were surprisingly poor. As a South African I am deeply disappointed. 1. Our flight from Cape Town was delayed by an hour. 2. The check in personal were not friendly 3. The planes were old and grubby. 4. The television screens were pathetic and rebooted a few times during the long flight from JFK. Some of the screens didn't even work. 5. The cabin attendants from New York to Cape Town were the worst I have encountered in many years. They were rude, poorly trained and sloppily attired. They were noisy during the flight and had their own dinner party at the back of the plane. They seldom walked through the plane to check on passengers. After dinner they never walked through the plane to serve drinks and passengers had to walk to the rear of the plane to get refreshments. When I went to the back of the plane to collect water I was made to feel like an intruder. 6. The food was was ghastly. The breakfast was cold and croissant old. The flight was hardly full and we could not once get our meal choice. 7. The announcements were unprofessional and English worst than that on my recent Bangkok and Swiss Airlines flights where English is not a first language.

The sad thing is we were a group of 23 traveling together, many of whom never traveled before. I have been a Voyager member for many years and regret my affiliation.
