SAA refuse to compensate for 5 hour delayed flight

I was booked on a flight from Lagos to Johannesburg. The SAA flight got delayed by 5 hours. Which made me miss my connecting flight to George later that morning.

Ending in I needed to book another night at the hotel in Lagos...2 nights stay in Johannesburg and the only next available flight was 2 days later which I also had to pay. Ending in more than my actual SAA ticket.

They refuse to compensate in any way. The only response from the ticket box in Johannesburg that us your problem not ours. We do not compensate for delays. If it was on a SAA flight only.

So much for costumer service.
