SAA Ground staff and new rule

<p>My wife was booked onto SAA530 from Durban to JHB. Her PA used the name averybody knows her as - Alet.</p> <p>Her R1440 ticket was invalid because her name appears as Aletta in her ID. Although everything else matched i.e. ID number, photo etc she was not allowed to fly. Even the Ops Manager wasn't prpared to use his initiative nor common sense. 'Rules is Rules' you know.</p> <p>She had to pay for a new ticket to fly.</p> <p>So how many people are being inconvenienced and loosing money. So Chris, Matt, Mandy, Themba, Musi, Prem and all others with be grounded. </p> <p>How rediculous. How does this make flying safer?</p>
