SAA does not care about YOU

Our organisation changed the flight time for a certain member who was booked together another. i was advised that the other passenger's flight remains the same, until he was not allowed on the plane because they claimed the ticket was still "linked". the call centre advised now they are not linked. after that it was effectively my problem to sort out what went wrong, not considering the fact that we have now "forfeited" a ticket already paid for. cancelling thee return ticket also has an admin cost, which we are also now liable for. investiigation into any of this i was advised takes atleast 24-72 hours. now i am out a delegate, out thousands of rands and d****d in the embarassment for poor service...

this was for ref 58ASJE Jose Moabelo (who had to spend the whole day at OR Tambo waiting for someone to confirm anything and being told the ticket was wrong, but recieved no additional explanation).

to continue another delegate was told the flight was overbooked(OVERBOOKED?) and now he first has to fly to cape town and THEN to PE. he will only get here tonight sometime... ref 55OHSA

what does a company think of their customers when they dont treat passengers with basic dignity and assitance, take NO responsibility for a system that the customer doesnt even have access to and overbooks (premise for that reasoning is not good enough btw) and tells people, "sorry, you now have to bear the burden"?

ps contacted British Airways and the service was excellent. from now on we will send our R300 000-R600 000 PA flight requirements to British Airways.
