SAA Consistently Pathetic

After successfully having boycotted SAA for 30 years, I finally capitulated and booked a flight (at a premium price I might add) from OR Tambo to George recently as SA Express were the only airline to fly there early in the morning. We were to be met by a tour group at mid-morning and shuttled down to Natures Valley to do the iconic Otter Trail. The evening before departure I logged in to check in on line only to find that there was NO FLIGHT. Thus ensued a flurry of phone calls to SAA reservations and then their emergency centre to ascertain what happened. Apparently their planes are grounded due to a failed CAA inspection and hence the flights were cancelled. However no-one contacted us despite having both my husband and my e-mail addresses and contact numbers. According to the SAA representative I spoke to I should "watch the news". Sis on you SAA, you are meant to be our national carrier yet you are a financial liability and an embarrassment to our country. I will rather crawl over broken glass than ever try fly with you again!
