SAA blames Australian immigration and charged double for the flight to Australia

As a dual citizen my daughter by law must exit South Africa on a South African passport and enter Australia on an Australian Passport. She is recently married and her surname on her South African passport has changed but not on her Australian passport. She booked on SAA using her new legal surname to leave South Africa using her South African passport and was not permitted to fly as she had no Australian visa in her South African passport. As an Australian citizen she does not need a visa as she would by law enter Australia on her Australian passport. Despite her presenting her Australian passport to the officials she was not allowed to fly as the surnames on the two passports were not the same. She had a copy of her marriage certificate to show she is the same person but to no avail. The only way she was allowed to fly was to buy a new ticket for R15,969.93 paying double for her flight. Entering Australia with her Australian passport no official checked that her ticket had a different surname to that of her passport
